Copycat McMuffins – Delicious Homemade McMuffins ready in minutes. Great for breakfast or as a snack. Quick and easy with just a few simple ingredients.

In this post, I am going to give you a quick breakdown of making fresh homemade Homemade Copycat McMuffins. I love trying new things especially new recipes that my family would love. The reason I really wanted to make these Copycat McMuffins is that my hubby loves McDonald’s McMuffins and he normally could eat 3 or 4 in one go. So during the lockdown with no restaurants being open, I decided to surprise him with homemade CopyCat McMuffins.

These are super easy and quick to make. You can either use store-bought English muffins which makes the job even quicker or have a go at my super easy English Muffin recipe to get the best hot and fresh muffins. If you have the time I would suggest making your own English Muffins, try and get this ready before you continue on the Mcmuffin recipe because they come out perfect every time. Should you wish to you the ready-made muffins, either way, you won’t be disappointed.

So this recipe is super basic and delicious. There are not a lot of elements and very easy to get ingredients. You may even have these in your fridge or pantry already. There are only 4 ingredients, English Muffins, eggs, ham, and Cheese. That’s it! Simple and easy to make.

Eggs, quick and easy!

A little hack for getting the eggs done quickly and evenly is to have them done in a muffin tin in the oven. This way all the eggs can be ready at the same time and are all cooked evenly. This also makes the cleanup process seamless.

For the Ham, I use regular sandwich ham. You could even use bacon streaks which would add a great flavor to the McMuffins as well. Hashbrowns are also a great addition if you want to bulk the muffins even more or even sausage patties which make a delicious McMuffin as well.

Servings 10 McMuffins

Ingredients

  • 10 English Muffins Ready Made
  • 10 Eggs
  • 10 slices Sandwich Ham / Bacon
  • 1 cup Cheese grated
  • Ketchup / Tomato Sauce (optional)
  • Butter (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celcius / 375 degrees Fahrenheit
  • First place English muffins on a tray that has been lightly sprayed with spray and cook. When oven is ready put the muffins in the oven for about ten minutes just to warm them a little.Remove from the oven.
  • Heat a pan or skillet on the stove on medium heat. Add a bit of spray and cook to the pan. Fry the ham evenly on both sides for a few minutes. Remove from the pan and place on a plate.
  • Break eggs into a greased muffin pan. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top. Place in the oven for 12 minutes.
  • While eggs are baking, slice muffins in half. Place the top half of each muffin on a baking tray, top with cheese just to cover. The bottom halves, you can add a light spread of butter and then ketchup / Tomato sauce. I add the butter then the sauce, so that the sauce does not soak into the muffin.
  • Once Eggs are ready out of the oven. Place the top halves of the muffins with cheese back in the oven for a few minutes until cheese melt.
  • In the meantime, place ham on bottom halves of the muffins, place the eggs on top of the ham.
  • Once Melted cheese tops are out of the oven, place the top halves right on the egg.
